Text: Chapter 210 - Speed and Strength (Note: The real chapter title is "Shinsoku no Sekirei, but that requires footnotes~ Basically, the sekirei ("wagtail" in English) is a small, clumsy-looking bird that plays an important role in the creation myth of the Ainu, Japan's indigenous people living mostly on the northern island of Hokkaido. It is seen as the messenger of the god Kamui. Kamui instructed the sekirei to create the earth by flapping its wings to part the waters and stepping on the land to flatten it. So a sekirei is symbollic of someone who may be physically weak, but works hard and has a lot of heart. Yukimura's big attack is called "Sekireigan" - "Eye of the Sekirei." 1 Akari: Because of your big mouths, Shindara and Haira know Kyo and the others are at the Onmyou Gate.
